Curtiduría Tungurahua, a leading leather processing company, participated in the International Footwear and Components Fair (FICCE) 2023, on this occasion demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and best practices in the leather industry through its participation with products high quality and environmentally responsible.
During the «FICCE 2023» fair, recognized as one of the most important events in the footwear and components industry at a national level, the company presented a wide range of leather products that go hand in hand with its actions in sustainability since it is the the first and only tannery in Ecuador that has implemented a Wastewater Treatment Plant to clean all the water it uses throughout its processes, before returning it to its natural channel. In addition, as part of its commitment to sustainability, Tungurahua Tannery this year obtained the certification of the Leather Working Group, (unique in the country). LWG is an internationally recognized organization that promotes responsible practices in leather production. This certification demonstrates the company’s compliance with rigorous standards and processes, ensuring the traceability of the leather and the responsible management of the natural resources used in its production.
